Some users have complained that they are facing this issue for some time and after some days the screen stops flickering and works perfectly. Again, they are facing the same issue after one month or so. In this article, we are trying to list down the reasons for this problem and their resolution.
Reasons for the Screen Flickering Issue
-
This may be caused due to some inconsistencies in the system caused by gaming applications or apps that require high CPU usage. Such apps can affect the services that handle the display leading to such issue.
-
Due to some water damage, moisture can be trapped within the phone which may be causing this display issue.
-
Due to some firmware updates, cache or some data may have been corrupted due to which the functionality of services are hampered.
-
This might be a manufacturing defect or hardware issue like the flex cables connecting the motherboard to the display might be loose.

If this fixes the issue, then some third party app is affecting the display. Start uninstalling the apps one by one starting from the most recent one. To do this go to Apps-> Settings-> Application manager-> Select the app-> Uninstall.
Delete the system cache through the Recovery Mode.
Galaxy J7 also has an Android System Recovery mode by which you can fix firmware issues if you are not able to access the Android interface through the normal bootup process. You can delete all the System Caches. When those caches get corrupted but the device still uses them, the services can be affected.
